Welcome to the home of competitive academics in the state of Vermont. Since the 1983-84 school year, the Vermont-NEA Scholars' Bowl has been challenging teams of high school students to show their smarts in a fast-paced question-and-answer format.

HANOVER HIGH SCHOOL: 2025-26 STATE CHAMPION

The team from Hanover High School swept through the playoff brackets in January and April to to claim the Vermont-NEA Scholars' Bowl state championship.

Hanover, Mt. Abraham Capture Scholars' Bowl Championships
The Vermont-NEA Scholars' Bowl season wrapped up on Saturday, April 4th at Essex High School, and Hanover and Mt. Abraham emerged as the overall and small-school state champions. Hanover completed an undefeated playoff run, following up its January victory with four more wins, including a come-from-behind 315-285 victory over Burlington A in the third round. Hanover then topped two-time defending champion CVU, 390-270, in the last round to secure its eighth overall state championship but its first since 2012. Meanwhile, Mt. Abraham claimed its third straight small-school championship but it requied a big comeback as Eagles rallied past Cratsbury, 275-260, in the championship match. Craftsbury forced a title match by reaching the April semifinals. Burlington C was the day's final champion, claiming the JV time by sweeping its April matches and topping CVU B 215-155 in the last round. Full Finals Results
